Zac Efron has successfully transitioned from high school 'singing-and-dancing-teen' to serious actor in this movie.
I admit I was wrong about him being just a pretty face [ok, I don't really find him that hot, coz he's really not my type. But since he's hailed world-wide as being pretty and hot, etc, I'll just refer to him as that] who can't really act, coz he can! And if he manages his life well without much screw-ups [think it's time he lose that mousy lil thing called Vanessa Hudgens. She's so annoying!] and chooses his roles well, he can be well on his way to become one of Hollywood's finest and most successful actors. His star is promising and will shine really bright.
This movie's a bit freaky and confusing. And also touching...
It shows that the bond between 2 brothers is so strong, not even death can set them apart. But what death can't do, she definitely can. Hahaha... She successfully 'saved' his doomed existence and made him move on to greater things in life. But I still don't get the part where she was lost but not dead, but Charlie can see her and even do lots of things with her.
Maybe I should read the book, then I'll understand better. Oh, if you don't already know, this movie's based on the book 'The Death & Life of Charlie St Cloud'. Go read it, then watch the movie, or vice versa. It's a pretty interesting story.
