Finally! The long awaited wedding of Stanley & Jo took place in March. Jo was a vision of loveliness in her bridal gear. She was truly a glowing, beautiful bride. The girls all wore pink, which was the dress code, and gathered at Jo's suite at 1World Hotel bright and early. The boys gathered at Stanley & Jo's house in Mutiara Damansara, wearing pink as well, and had breakfast before going to get the bride.
When the groom party arrived, the fun began. Jo was a naughty bride. She ran outta her room to peek through the door to have a look at the guys. Then was rushed back into her room to wait. She kept asking us to take more pics so that she could see what happened outside while she was inside her room.
I've gotta say, these bunch of guys were all really sporting. They were not shy at all and were daring enough to do everything we asked. It was really funny and everyone had so much fun.
When we tortured the guys enough, finally the door to the bride's room was opened and Stanley got his reward for all his hard work ~ his beautiful wife.
After performing the necessary ceremonial rituals, we drove back to Stanley & Jo's house for them to perform the ceremonial rituals under the guidance of the 'Mak Adam'. I left soon after to rest and get ready for the dinner in the evening coz I am one of the emcees!
Felt a bit nervous emcee-ing for Stanley & Jo's biggest once-in-a-lifetime event. But not as nervous as my partnet-in-crime, Yaacob. He kept requesting to go through the script and rehearse wad we gotta say. Then he walked around and acted all jittery. Finally, he asked for a glass of whiskey to calm his nerves. Hahahaha... It's funny to see him so nervous. And it's a great experience working together with him. I've gotta thank Stanley & Jo for giving me this opportunity to be part of their wedding and for the chance to work with Yacs. It was really meaningful to me.
I met up with many ex-colleagues but didn't get the chance to catch up with them coz of my emcee-ing duties. Got to eat in between announcing stuff. Jo looked stunning in her evening gown. And Stanley very smart in his suit. I love the decor and table arrangement in the ballroom. Very intimate and cosy. All in all, it was a great wedding and I wish with all my heart nothing but the very best for the newlyweds.
