We stayed at the Renaisance Hotel in Malacca.
Upon arrival, we had lunch. Then were ushered to the ballroom for speeches, presentations, prize-giving and games before separated into 14 groups for the 'Amazing Race Malacca'. Check out the pics from the 'race':
It was an extremely hot day. By the time the 'race' was over, we were all sweaty and tired from running around Malacca town the whole afternoon.
We checked into our rooms and got ready for the 'Kampong' themed dinner. During dinner, there were lots of games and performances. Very funny stuff. The winners of the 'race' were announced and the dinner ended with a group pic.
Most of the people went partying but my Singaporean colleagues and I opted for a quieter and more relaxed activity ~ foot massage & ear candling. We were tired and it felt so great to have our feet massaged. The massage place we found put us in a private room with our own TV. But, we didn't need the TV. All 3 of us fell asleep. Hope I didn't snore :P
After the massage, while waiting for our cab, there was an incident which I dunno whether to consider funny or insulting. The 3 of us, with disheveled hair, sat slouched and yawning at the entrance of a hotel near the massage place to wait for our cab. We looked far from pretty and attractive. Yet, a few men returning to the hotel saw us and was discussing amongst themselves whether to 'ask' us. WTH! They thought we were prostitutes!! OMG! Did we look like prostitutes? I am sure whores won't look as simple and plain as how we looked that night. We stood up and walked away before they had the chance to approach us. Stupid a$$e$! Talk so loud and thought we couldn't hear them. See? That's why I said. Dunno if it's considered funny or insulting.
Had a good night's sleep when I got back to the hotel and went home the next day js in time for my belated birthday dinner with the girls at Mon't Kiara.
