Glam Odyssey @ The Gardens

Went for a fashion event last Wed, thanks to KarenthePouter who invited me. The theme for the night was Glam Odyssey. The show was opened by some local celebs, followed by models who paraded on the runway in outfits by DKNY, Calvin Klein and Armani Exchange.

There was free champagne, wine, liquor and finger food. Didn't eat anything. Just had a glass of wine. Was told they ran outta champagne. Hmmm... Okaaay...

Met the funny and animated Racheal who came in her rock chick gear, complete with a nice headband. She can really pull it off well. I felt super underdressed surrounded by people dressed up in their uber glam best!

Saw this super hot male model amongst the crowd. Karen got introduced to him and all of us grouped together for pics. He introduced himself as Fukuoka, which is a state in Japan. Hmmm... Apparently he's half Jap and half Portuguese, which explains his good looks, height and well-built physique. I have to admit, he is one of the hottest looking guys I've ever met. But, he looks very young and he's apparently off-limits for girls. Hahaha... I could practically hear lots of girls' hearts break when they discovered this piece of news. *LOLs*

We then SS-ed at the backdrop of the event...

After we haf enough of posing and snapping, we went to Chilli's to eat. Main conversation at the table that night was 'ghosts'. Everybody was sharing chilly horror stories, etc. Sigh... I was thinking, shit, coz I parked at the rooftop where everybody else parked at the basement, so I hadta walk to my car alone and drive home alone in close to 11pm at night after listening to all those scary stories.

But towards the end of our meal, Karen and the rest decided to walk me to my car and refused to take no for an answer. So nice of them to do that. They walked me up to my car then went all the way back down to the basement for theirs. Thanks guys!!

Dunno why I was handed 2 goodie bags when I left the event. Looked as if I'm so greedy to snatch 2 bags then went off. Haha...

The contents: An Anya Hindmarch notebook, Glam Mag, Gardens Mag, a plant [yesss, u read correctly, a PLANT!] and a couple of vouchers from Club 21 [but really, I wonder why they even bother to give out the vouchers. Only a mere 10% off, with the usual T&C of not being able to use it during promos, sale, etc, and to make it even difficult to use, can only use it at The Gardens within 3 days! Might as well don't give us the vouchers, right?].
