Happy Mother's Day!!

Yup, today's Mother's Day ;) We have a cake for Mom and I took her out for an hour of relaxing foot massage @ my fav reflexology place in Desa Sri Hartamas. Sorry, didn't manage to take any pics. The place charges reasonably and the ambience is great! Really clean, richly decorated with chinese wallpaper and chairs, with serene soft music in the background. The service is good as well! They serve ginseng tea, and while we sink into the comfortable chair, they'll bring a tub of herbal foot soak for us to immerse our feet in. Then, they'll bring heated herbal pillows to put on our shoulders and back. After all that, only the massage will begin. It's not painful and the massage therapists there are real deal Chinese people from China who really knows their stuff. After our massage session, our feet was wiped clean with hot towels, then, we get a quick shoulder, neck and back rub before we go off. Great, right? I love going to this place! It always makes me feel relaxed and so good :)

Initially, I wanted to bring Mom shopping at the Gardens [so that I can buy her something as a present], but she felt lazy to walk around in the crowd, so we went home. That's about it for Mother's Day I guess. Mom don't wanna eat out. So, we're eating in. Hmmm... Maybe next year I'll book a whole day of spa treatment for Mom to enjoy herself.

In a completely unrelated matter, I was checking my email just now and I came across this pic from Suilin:
which reminds me of the night we went out when this pic was taken. I dunno who took this pic, totally forgot about it and have no idea how Suilin managed to get this. Anyways, this was taken in Velvet. And before that, we had a really hilarious encounter in The Market Place.

Suilin sent out an email to everyone, asking us to go to The Market Place. In the end, it was just me, Yaacob and her who went. Pam and Eugene came a bit later. When Suilin, Yaacob and I first stepped into the club, we were greeted with a show put up by a group of half naked men, parading around in what looked like African tribal costumes, complete with headgears, etc. We were stunned. It didn't take us long to realise it's a gay joint. Hahahaha... I had fun checking out gays who were checking out Yaacob and Eugene. And Eugene was so terrified. It was funny. We stayed there for a while before adjourning to Velvet, where, even after like a year's absence, the bouncers still recognized Pam and she still got the red carpet treatment. Straightaway, we got to walk in without lining up and we got a nice table in front of the bar. Haha... This shows Velvet will always remember their regulars even after a long period of absence.

Been really busy lately with work. No time for gym or anything. I'm feeling really frustrated! I want ME-TIME!! Time where I can work out [I really wanna gain weight!!!!], I can read all my mags and books, I can blog [I don't even have time to blog and upload pics of a wedding I attended and MY BIRTHDAY!!! Imagine that!!], I can relax and meet up with my friends, etc. I hate it when I feel I'm always in a rush, my mind is always full of a million things to do and I have no time to do things that I really want to do. Let's just hope this busy, stressful period passes real fast and I'll be somewhere better and nicer, where I'll be happy real super soon!! *Fingers crossed*
