Updates for the past couple of weeks

Been really busy the past couple of weeks. Didn't have time to upload pics nor blog. Am dead tired, actually. But just wanna get this done. So, here are updates on the random happenings for the past fortnight:

----------------------------------------

Met up with Lil J at the Kiara flea market last 2 Sundays to check out the place and talk about our idea for a venture together. Since it's in the early stages of planning, I won't reveal it til later. Dun wanna jinx it by talking about it :P

I used to go to this particular flea market every Sunday years ago. Then, I stopped going coz I've gotten busier and newer and more interesting flea markets have sprung up especially at The Curve. I'm really shocked to discover how dead the Kiara flea market is. It used to be so vibrant and the traffic there was extremely high. Now, there are only a few stalls scattered all over the courtyard and almost no customers at all. Okay, not a good place to consider to sell clothes. Btw, I am considering selling my clothes and I'm now hunting for a suitable venue. IF I get a good one, I'll not only sell mine but get in new ones to sell as well. Wish me luck!! And come support me if ever this idea materialize *Fingers crossed*

It was Mom's birthday last Tuesday. Since all of us were not able to make it back on time for dinner on a weekday, we celebrated on Sunday instead, with dinner at Ole-Ole Bali at Solaris Mont Kiara. It was pouring when we got there. We opted to sit outdoors and I hadta sit on a cushion coz the wooden bench was wet from the rain.

It's a nice place to eat and I've gotta say, the portions are HUGE!!! The food's yummy too! Go try it out if you like Balinese dishes. During dinner, the conversation was mainly about LeeHom and some other Taiwanese pop dude who's actually from Brunei. If you're wondering why on earth this topic came about, it's coz my cousin and my lil sister are crazy dedicated fans of LeeHom. He's gonna have a concert in KL soon and he dropped by KL for an autograph cum meet-the-fans session at Solaris the previous week. My crazy cousin went to see him and she couldn't stop gushing about him ever since. Joining her is my equally smitten sister. Sigh... I'm NOT a fan of LeeHom nor wads-his-name Bruneian. So, can you imagine how I felt when these 2 fellas are the hot topic of the table? B-O-R-E-D. Hahahaha... Sorry, Shu and Soo. I am and forever will be a loyal Daniel Wu fan :P

After dinner, we hung around the area for a while before heading home. It was raining and we didn't have an umbrella so getting back into the car in the open parking lot was quite tricky. But we managed, with minimal contact with the rain.

On Mom's actual birthday, we celebrated with a cake. Of coz me, being the silly drama queen, had quite a bit of drama trying to get the cake. Won't go into details. Just to sum it up, I planned to get a cake somewhere, but in the end tak jadi so I was in panic mode trying to find a cake. Called backup [read: Shu] but in the end, I managed to get Mom a nice rich yummy Walnut Brownies from Secret Recipe as a cake. *Phew*

Gave Mom her pressie. A new Nokia flip-phone. Yeay!!! Was so excited when I bought it and I couldn't wait to give it to her. But, she didn't look surprised, so I guess she musta guessed I'm buying her a phone. Lemme tell you, the entire phone buying process was also a HUGE drama. Sigh... Why does this always happen to me???!!!! Cut long story short, this particular phone model is almost extinct coz it's really old and the whole Sungai Wang was tergempar was I specifically wanted this phone in gold color and in perfect condition. The sales counter I wanted to buy the phone from hadta call EVERY counter in the entire place to hunt for this phone coz the existing one they had on hand had a couple of scratches on it. In the end, I left empty handed coz they couldn't find any. I walked to BB Plaza and thought I'd try my luck and asked one of the Nokie counters there. When I told the sales fella the phone model I wanted, he blinked and looked at me, then said "Oh, so you're the person who's searching for this phone. You terbalikkan the entire mall to find it." Imagine how I felt!!!! Gosh, so embarrassed. Needless to say, this sales fella didn't have the phone. In the end, I got it from the shop that I bought my phone from. Sigh... Hope Mom likes it!

Sang Mom a 'Happy Birthday' song then all of us had some brownies. Ummm.... Yummy!!
----------------------------------------
It was DavidMan's birthday last Friday. All of us went to Red Box to celebrate. Bought him a cake to share with Chloe [her birthday fell on early April but I didn't get to buy her a cake then, so now both of them hafta share]. Sang from 10.30pm - 3am. Power, huh? Alice came to join us and as usual entertained us with her great showmanship. Kekekkekeke...
Had fun singing and catching up with Alice. The biggest shocker of the night was when our BIG BIG boss walked in with DavidMan. We were not expecting him. But he was a good sport. Sang a few songs and was all round friendly to all of us. The biggest damper was the presence of someone who's not really 'expected' to show up. But he did and being who he is, just sat there the whole night, ate and hogged the control. Hmmm... Speechless. This kinda behavior really just makes me feel really off. Like, wth?!!
Anyways, in all, we had fun. I was so dead tired when I finally got home at 4am!!! AArrgghhh... I need my BEAUTY SLEEP!!! zzZZZZZ

*Opps typo! Supposed to be 'Happy Birthday, you two!' See? That's how blur-tired I am!!!
----------------------------------------
It was Suilin's birthday last weekend. Celebrated with her on Saturday with dinner at Alexis BSC then Phuture. We got the whole restaurant to sing her a 'Happy Birthday' song when we got her a piece of tiramisu. Hehe... Suilin blushed so much she looked like she was drunk.
After dinner, we partied at Phuture. It was super packed!!! I didn't drink that night and barely even moved. Coz I was exhausted. And I need to wake up early the following day to do something really special. Hmmmm... Wonder if I snore that night when I slept, coz I was so exhausted. I know some people tend to do that when they're extremely tired. I do hope I don't fall under that category :P
We left around 2am, sent Lil E home then went home, took a quick shower and zzZZZZ...

Haha! The something really special that I mentioned that I need to do on Sunday was.... *Drum rolls* Buy Yaacob his anniversary pressie. It is like super super belated, man!! Almost 3 months late coz he couldn't decide what he wants. Well, I'm glad he finally decided what he wants and I hafta say, it is a great choice. So, here it is ladies and gents, my pressie to Yaacob for our 2 year anniversary:
The Canon Ixus 100IS!!! Ta daa!!!
Isn't it gorgeous??? All black [from the latest Canon black series] and so slim!!! [Canon's slimmest camera to date]. So sleek and mysterious and chic. I really like this camera. And I think it suits Yaacob really well :D
Check it out:
See how slim it is???

I love it!! And I hope Yaacob likes it, too!! Hehehe...
