A wedding dinner & a mani + pedi + tea session

Went for Stan's wedding yesterday. Stan's one of the printers I deal with at work. The wedding dinner was held at Oriental Pavilion in PJ.

There were only 8 of us at the table, so food was aplenty. The waitress who served us, an aunty, was quite scary. She was bossy and fierce and would force us to finish our food, even though we were stuffed full. She'd clear our plates and dishes roughly as if all of us gave her a bad time by just showing up and eating at that table. Talk about 'service'!!

The bride, Helen, looked stunning, especially in her 'cheongsam'. Her figure, I must say, was GREAT!! Like, super hot. Extremely toned and curvy at all the right places. So envious...

Here are some pics from the wedding:Went for a 'spa manicure & pedicure' session with Jebb today. She came back from Adelaide a few weeks back. It feels great to have her back. Feels more complete with 3 of us at home, rather than just Soo and I. Of coz, us being super cam-whores, must snap some pics before going for our nail appointment [even though we were running a bit late]...

As usual, we like to snap a pic of us making funny faces...

Rushed to Amante, at Solaris Mont Kiara to do our nails. Supposed to meet Suilin and the girls for lunch after my mani and pedi, but it took quite long and by the time I was done, they already left for home. My phone was on silent, so I didn't hear their calls and texts. Hmmmm... Oh well, there's always the next lunch session to catch up with the girls.

Right after our nails were done, we hunted for a restroom. So smart of us, not to use the one at the nail shop. We walked around, lost, trying to locate a restroom to relieve our full bladder. Looked like a couple of crazy girls, wandering here and there, looking quite desperate. Haha... Finally, after I think about 5-10 minutes of walking around, we were able to find one. What a relieve!! Phew!!

After the restroom hunting drama, Jebb and I were so hungry we blindly entered a restaurant, which had banners stating it serves pasta, western dishes and pastries and cakes. OMG, what a BIG mistake!!! Next time, really hafta make sure we open our eyes wide and not rush into a restaurant desperate for food. Coz, it was actually a Moroccan restaurant. Why its banners said it serves pasta and western food was beyond my comprehension coz they didn't even know what an Aglio Olio pasta is, even though it was on the menu. Can you believe that??!!! What came to our table were spaghetti Bolognese. And when I told the waitress, we ordered Aglio Olio, she just looked at me blankly, as if I spoke French to her. Gosh... I hadta explain to her what's Bolognese and what's Aglio Olio. In the end, she sorta got what I was trying to say and apologised profusely before returning to the kitchen to sort out our order. When our food finally came [correctly, this time], it looked at if they picked the Bolognese sauce from the pasta, gave it a rinse in hot water, then mixed it with olive oil. Coz it was cold and bland... Completely tasteless. No amount of salt helped. Urrgghhh... It was the worst tasting pasta I've ever had and I'll never ever return to that restaurant again!!! I promise!!

After the disdainful lunch, we bought some cake and went to Jessie's to have some tea [dessert for us]. I bought a piece of warm choc cake, which we were supposed to heat in the microwave for 30 secs. But, as usual, alway, something won't go right. Her microwave broke down and she had yet to buy a new one. So, we ate the 'warm' choc cake cold. It didn't taste right. Sigh... Why does this always happen to me????

We hung out at Jessie's til dinnertime, then drove home. Quite an eventful day. And I'm pleased with the work the manicurist did :) Will consider buying their package, since now they're offering it on promotional price. How? How? Should I or should I not??
