How I spent my Sunday...

I've been wanting to perm my hair for ages but my very busy stylist, Joey, is always not available. So, when he texted me yesterday [when I was shopping] to inform me he'll be free today, I jumped with glee and quickly booked him.

Drove down to his salon early Sunday afternoon. Unlike other hair perm experiences in the past, I didn't feel nervous or anxious that somehow my hair will turn out NOT as how I want it to be and I'll end up looking like a Chinese cousin of Diana Ross. I trust Joey's skills and I have confidence that he'll make me look like a million bucks.

So, I sat in his salon patiently for almost 3 and a half hours to get my hair done. And the final result did not disappoint. I'm very happy with my perm :) I even got a lot of products for curly hair [on a discounted price] from Joey, which really works wonders for my hair. He's really a great stylist!!

Jessie came halfway through my perm to have a haircut. I recommended her to try Joey. I think she looks really cute in her new hairstyle but she seems doubtful. I think she's not used to her new look. I told her she'll feel great about her hair in a couple of weeks after it's grown a little and she's gotten used to it.

While waiting for her haircut, she slyly fished out her camera, and snapped pics of me without flash while I was blissfully unaware, flipping away at my mag. Til she laughed and showed me the pics! Urgh! I look so horrible with all the curlers, etc in my hair.
