'Go Green' Campaign Launch

It was our floor's 'Go Green' campaign launch on Monday. Everyone on the floor had to wear 'green' that day [EY sms-ed me to remind me to wear 'green' the night before. I totally forgot all about it. I didn't have any decent 'green' tops for work. The only 'green' top I have is really not suitable to wear to the office. In the end, I have to be a lil creative in dressing myself in 'green' ;). Also, mental note to self to buy more 'green' outfits!] and gathered at the reception area at 10am to wait for our VIP to launch the campaign.

This was what greeted me when the lift doors opened at the 23rd floor of Wisma Genting. Imagine how shocked I was! So many eyes on me as I walked outta the lift late for work :'( Sudahlah lambat, kena busted in front of so many people... Malu!!

While waiting for the VIP to arrive [we kept anticipating his arrival. Each time a lift stops at our floor, everybody got into place and got ready to welcome the VIP. And most of the time, it was a false alarm. Me being one of the falsies... Hehehehe...], we began snapping pics to entertain ourselves...
Finally, the VIP arrived. Our SVP, VP and the VIP gave their speeches, then the launch began. First, the VIP hadta fit in a piece of a puzzle onto a 'green' backdrop mounted at the wall, then water a 'green' plant next to the backdrop before switching on our 'green' buttons [light switches. We're encourage to switch off the 'green' buttons during lunchtime, after work and whenever an area is not used]. Then, he hadta cut the 'green' ribbon to get into our office for a 'green' tour to view our 'green' boxes [for recycling], 'green' messages [posters on the walls] and 'green' desks [desks with 'green' plants].
While the VIP toured our office, we on the other hand, continued taking pics. Alice, as usual, struck her 'vogue' [pronounced = 'VO-GIU' when describing Alice] poses, influencing us to do the same. Then, we had a YY pose [forefinger on lips]. We also showed our love to the 'green' plants :P
After the tour, all of us went into one of the meeting rooms where the 'green' refreshments were served. We waited for the VIP to cut the 'green' cake before started grabbing the food.
Guess who was the first to reach out the the food...

While eating, we took more pics. Now the other departments know what National Marketing girls like to do... Hahahaha...
YY was influenced by her boss and went to 'steal' a piece of cake when she thought noone was looking...
Then, she decided to play CSI with Rain, taking photos of a cigarette pack left in the gents. This is an evidence. Important to catch the culprit smoking in the toilet...

Even the security guard was offerred some refreshments... Yess, we're a friendly bunch and we don't discriminate :)
Good launch for a good campaign for a good cause.

Everyone was encouraged to bring a green plant to their workstations. Not that I don't support this campaign, I don't really have a green thumb. All the plants I ever had died a quick death. So no point in jinxing and killing more innocent plants, right?

Well, on my computer desktop wallpaper, there's a lot of green grass. So, that can be my 'green' support for this campaign :)
