My really productive, activities-filled weekend ;)

My weekend was really productive. I've been craving for my own fried rice, therefore I decided to make it for lunch on Saturday. Yes, I know what a lot of people will think... Me cook??!!

Haha... I can, okay... I can... But just limited things... :P

Anyways, my maid was trying to be 'helpful' by helping me cut up the chilli, onion and fry the ikan bilis. I was quite annoyed coz I was able to actually cook a meal without anyone's help. I really wanted to do everything myself including the washing up. But I think my maid's scared that I'll mess up her kitchen really badly or worse, burn it down accidentally, therefore she stood there the whole time insisting on helping me do this and that. And I refused to let her do more than cutting the chilli and onion and frying the ikan bilis. Gosh, I really didn't know my maid can be so bossy. But I guess she didn't realise it and she wanted to help. Her intentions are good I'm sure coz for as long as she worked in my house, she've never seen me cook anything other than maggi mee and scrambled eggs. So I think she thought I couldn't handle it.

But surprise! Surprise! I was able to produce really yummy fried rice ok. My special guest, Yaacob said so and I'm sure he wasn't saying it just coz I'm his gf and he didn't wanna get into trouble or hurt my feelings. My mom said it was delicious. Even my lil sister, who was initially really doubtful [she kept coming into the kitchen and casted me dubious looks and saying she will cook maggi mee or buy something to eat. Talk about support!!], finally agreed to taste it and said it's nice after much coaxing from me :P Hehehe...

Then, after some rest and a nice long hot shower, I got ready for a wedding dinner. It's Yaacob's friend's sister's wedding. Haha... Yea, I know, like that also can, huh? Bf's friend's sister's wedding also involve me :) Yaacob knows the bride too. All of them knew each other since school, when they were really young.

The free flowing Gold Label and Merlot was gone really fast. "What a bunch of drinkers!" I thought of the guests at the wedding. Coz I heard that there were crates and crates of the whiskey and the red wine. I only managed to have 1 glass of red, then I was told all habis. Grrr...

As you can see by the pictures below, we were too busy SS-ing, snapping pics of ourselves and eating, that we didn't even get to snap a pic of the bride. Didn't help that we were seated real far from her [at the other end of the ballroom] and she was super busy, changing into 2 different evening gowns and entertaining relatives and other friends. But we weren't complaining. We had fun enjoying the food and the music...
On Sunday, I met up with YY to hunt for all the stuff on my 'to-get' list. Priorities ~ high waisted skirts, a pair of white shorts and a red clutch/ bag. We walked around Bangsar, systematically checking out all the boutiques street by street. I was ecstatic when I finally found a high waisted skirt of not too bad design which fitted me like a glove :D Yeay!!! I was so happeee... I showed it off to YY excitedly, and in the end, because I was so happy to finally find a skirt that fits me, I bought 2 of them, in different colors of coz! And since I was in such a good mood, I bought 2 belts which caught my eye. They were good buys. Super cheap and not bad-looking.

Then, towards the end of our shopping spree, I found a pair of really nice high waisted white shorts. It was a little bit loose. Little bit! So, I asked YY, "How?" She said, "Buy it. Can alter. It's just a wee bit loose." So, I bought it. The very last pair in the shop. Happy, happy to find the stuff that I wanted and cross them off my list. I couldn't seem to find a red clutch/ bag that's nice though. Anyone knows of a place which have nice red clutches/ bags for sale?? I've been hunting for ages. Getting desperate :(

After shopping, I rushed back to BU, pick Yaacob up and met up with Lil Jessie at The Curve. We had dinner while doing an activity we [we = Lil J and I] love. Hehehe...

Met up with Suilin, Jessie and the rest of the gang later that night, after hanging out with Lil J, at Starbucks. Haven't seen them in ages. Good to meet up and catch up :) Lil J didn't join us coz she wanted to go home early. Such a good girl.

There! My weekend. So productive, right? Hehehe... I feel so happy :D
