Name-Calling

We’ve come to a point where we’d address most of our colleagues by their nicknames. How the nicknames came about was a mystery. It’s like, for no apparent reason we’d suddenly have a stroke of inspiration and give a person a nickname(s) and it’ll stick and very soon, everyone is using that nickname to address that person.

We now have a long long list of nicknames:

- Milton the Glutton
- Carol aka Carrot aka Mei Mei
- Dee Lin aka Ah Jie
- Evonne aka EY aka Eck
- Alice aka Gak Gak
- Yvonne aka YY
- Matthias aka Boyfriend aka M
- Alan aka Toy Boy aka Diva aka Tsing Ye
- Therine aka Drama Queen [Drama for short. I am absolutely clueless as to why I am nicknamed Drama Queen. I am the least drama person around *innocent smile* :P] aka Ummentionable [don’t ask me why. I have NO idea]
- Chriz aka Liew Dai Jie aka Ms. Liew aka Yakuliew

Even the people not in our department are not spared:

- Chris Chan aka Energizer Bunny [coz she’s always so energetic]
- Da Devil aka Tao Tao aka Jiao Jiao [you know who you are!!]

Our nicknames are all saved in YY’s phonebook and all of us immortalized her signature pose [forefinger at the lips] by letting her take pics of us with our forefingers at our lips with her phone. Now, whenever we call her, our signature YY poser pic will be displayed together with our nicknames.

Hmmm… The are still a few others who don’t have nicknames. It’s about time they join the club. Time to brainstorm a bit… Kekeke…
