Killer Cyclone!

I was reading the newspaper a couple of days back and was really disheartened to learn that the junta in Myanmar was still taking their own sweet time letting the relief workers and supplies into the country to help the cyclone victims.

The dead bodies were piled up at sides of roads. The junta did not help dispose of the bodies and the locals did not have enough fuel to cremate them. The stench was unbearable and the people hadta live with that everyday. There was no clean food and water and no shelter over their heads. The entire world was moved to do something to help, sending in plane loads of supplies and relief workers but what did the junta do? They took their own sweet long time to process the visas and allowed limited help into the country!!

The people are dying, from starvation, sickness and risk getting infected with desease. Why is there no urgency from their own government?? I wonder what would happen if the cyclone hit areas where the junta's families live. Will they still be so ignorant in saving the people?
