Semangat, huh? Kiasu me wanted to be one of the first ones there when they open their doors to crazy shoppers like moi to dash in and get as many on sale items as I possible can. I couldn't stand the idea of being late to a sale like this and end up with left over products and with all the hot products sold out.So, I found myself driving my dear cousin, Shu, and myself downtown at 9.30am to be able to make it to Park Royal at 1oam [that's when the sale started]. I got a phone call from EY telling me there's already a long long line of people outside Park Royal waiting to get in *Horrors* Aaarrgghhh... What were those people doing? What time did they arrive? 7am??!! More kiasu than me!!
To cut the long story short, Shu and I lined up for about 2 and a half hours before getting into the ballroom. I managed to dash to Joey's for a quick haircut [Yaacob was supposed to go with me but he hurt his shoulder so he couldn't make it. I told Joey "Sorry, my bf hurt his shoulder so he can't come for a haircut." I told him Yaacob went to the hospital to check on his injury, but he somehow thought Yaacob was hospitalised and that I was in a hurry to go see him. So, whenever I had a sms, he would exclaim "Gosh! Must be your poor bf asking where you are," and he hurriedly cut my hair and dried it. Funny fella!!] and dashed back to the line half an hour before we actually got in. And, when we got in, goodness!! The craziness of the whole thing!! So many people. Aggressive people. They didn't care about manners or anything. They just wanna get their hands on as many products as they can. I dropped 2 of each item which I thought I might wanna buy into the plastic bag, then walked around to hunt for more stuff. Saw my ex-secondary schoolmate at the Lancome counter. She's a beauty trainer for Lancome [Wow!]. So, I asked her to gather all the stuff which are suitable for my skin type for me while I wait in a corner. Don't need to push around to get near the tables :P
Finally, when I wanted to go thru the stuff in my bag and sort out which to buy and which to dump back onto the tables, somebody made an announcement to shoo us outta the ballroom. Time given to buy our stuff: 15 minutes. There was a mad scramble as everyone panicked and headed to the payment counters. I was thinking "Gawd!! I really dun wanna be shoo-ed out then hafta line up for goodness knows how long again to get in." I rushed to the payment counter and was still sorting out which stuff I wanted and which I didn't want but the cashier rang up everything. In the end, I got a lot of double items. Aaarrgghhh... Overspent like crayzee... Depressed!! My poor lil purse is bleeding... I'm broke :'(
When I inspected the items at home, I felt kinda suspicious about some of them. They looked old and dunno if it's safe to apply on my face. Sigh...
After the sale [The estimated time to spend for the sale was 1 hour but the waiting time to GET IN the sale room was already 2 and a half hours, so imagine how behind I was], I rushed back to PJ to pick Yaacob up for our facial appointment at 3pm [yes, he still wanted to go for a facial even though his shoulder was injured... Vain-nya...]. I musta been dead exhausted coz I fell asleep in the middle of the extraction session [the most painful part of the session, where the beautician squeezed out all the yucky blackheads, whiteheads, pimples, etc] and didn't even feel a thing. Woke up when the whole facial was done and it's time to go. After our facial, which I spent a ridiculous amount of money on [my purse was practically dead], I went to chill at Shu's place, then chilled at Yaacob's place then went home. Tired to the max, man!!

Walked around 1U with Yaacob trying to pick a birthday pressie. He wanted to buy me a camera so we went to a couple of shops to look at cameras. I don't really fancy the Canon IXUS860IS anymore coz the more I look at it, the bigger it seems. I like carrying tiny lil clutches when I go out and it won't fit inside them. I couldn't find a camera I like and the feeling of buying one now, and suddenly discovering a newer, more stylish, sleek and tiny model coming out makes me just wanna wait til I find one I really really like. So now, I really dunno wad I want for my birthday.
After walking around for a couple of hours and shopping for my daily use items, we went home to go for dinner with my family. I had a pleasant surprise when I got home. A parcel from Down Under was waiting for me :) My dear sister, Jebb, sent me a pressie!! It's a really nice dress!! Enclosed in the parcel was a card. It's so 'me'!! Hehehe... Thanks for the pressie, Jebb!! I *heart* it!!
We had dinner @ Izzi to celebrate my birthday early. After dinner, they sorta surprised me by having a cake cutting session at Baskin Robbins. Yaacob bought me a nice lil choc ice cream cake :D
Shu gave me a book. Shu soooo knows me!! I really like the book. It's just the kinda book I like reading. Thanks, Shu!! Hugzz....
Soo wanted to gimme her pressie too, but I told her "Wait! Give it to me on the actual day." I dun wanna get all my pressies so soon!! Save some for the actual day :) Kekekekke....
