My uncle tapau-ed some dishes from a restaurant for our dinner. All of us sat down at the dining table and ate. It was a bit crowded as there were 9 of us eating at the table, but I don't mind eating elbow-to-elbow with my family members :)
My uncled had a tiny lil fish pond built in the compound and he really decorated the house well. It's so CNY... And he got this adorable lil bird cage with a fake lil bird in it to hang above the fish pond...
My lil doggie Ginger was having a ball of a time, going crazy running around the insanely huge space, exploring to her lil heart's content. She also enjoyed basking under the sun once she got tired of running around... I made her wear the cute lil pink dress Jebbrine got from Australia... Hmmm... She didn't seem to like it that much...
On the 1st day of CNY, we drove to Ipoh to pay respects to my late granny at a temple. It's what we do every year. If we don't go travelling abroad, we will go back to my aunt's house on CNY eve, and go to the temple on the 1st day of CNY. Then, we will go visit relatives in Ipoh and Kampar on our way back to T. A.
This year, I gotta ride in a mini cooper. My cousin bro drove it back [he sold off his car before getting a new one, so he's driving the mini temporarily]. He let me drive it around after the reunion dinner and gosh, it was so fun. The lil car was so steady on the road!! It's like a go-kart!
On our way to Ipoh, my lil sis, Shu and I cramped into the backseat of the car and off we went, riding in style... And yes, of coz I hadta snap some pics during our drive to Ipoh :P
After the temple and a short drop-by to Shu's aunts' place, we were on our way back to T.A. We dropped by my aunt's place in Kampar on the way back. We were greeted with a pleasant surprise there ~ Tinkerbell. That's the name of my aunt's lil pinscher. She's a feisty lil doggie. Running around, and not a fan of pic-taking. She was struggling to get free whenever we tried to pick her up to snap pics. But, we didn't really care if we traumatised the lil dog with our cameras. We picked her up and made her pose for pics. She looked ready to bite at one point... Maybe she's just not a poser-doggie like Ginger... Anyhow, we got our pics even though Tinkerbell looked really unhappy in it :P
On our way back, we took more pics...
Stopped by this shop called Kedai Kopi Foong Mun Kee, which is famous for its ais kacang. There were a variety of ais kacang there. I ordered a coconut-flesh ais kacang. Mom ordered a coffee flavored one. The others had the normal ais kacang. Mom complained that the ais kacang didn't taste as good as last time and now the 3rd generation in the family is running the business. I guess the granpa made really really fabulous ais kacang coz even after 3 generations and deteriorating quality of the dessert, I still find mine really yummy... Dunno if it's coz I'm an amateur when it comes to tasting ais kacang, or it's really damn good or just coz the weather's hot and anything nice and cold tasted really good...
After we got back, I felt sleepy and dozed off til dinnertime. Then after dinner, I relaxed on my uncle's massage chair then slipped my feet into the feet massager for a reflexology session. Ahhh... What bliss...On the 2nd day of CNY, we packed and got ready to go home after lunch. I managed to snap pics of the mini and it's interior before we all left...
It's really a cool lil car, but I won't wanna buy it. The mini is just too cute for my taste...If I have the moolah, I'd get a sportscar like the Audi TT [drool]... That's my ultimate dream car, yeaaa.... Dunno if I'd be able to get enough angpau $$ to afford just 0.2% of the car :P
