Driving to office yesterday was such a breeze... No cars, no jam... It took me max 15 minutes to get to my office building, but longer than that to actually get INTO my office coz the basement parking in the building was closed. I drove around the area twice before deciding to park in Pavilion, then walk back to the office.
Since we discovered the 4th day of CNY - 10 February 2008 is an auspicious day for those born in the year of the Monkey, Rooster and Rat to start the work year, Chriz, EY, YY and I decided to go back to the office on that day to send out an email to mark the start of our work year. Superstitious? Nope... I think we did it more outta wanting an excuse to meet up and have fun.
So, there we were, 4 chicks dressed in killer RED outfits, sporting GIANT minnie mouse ears, running amok around the office snapping pics... We DID work [sending out an email to our boss informing him we are at the office working IS considered work, okay!!], not just having fun, going camera-happy...
After we had enough of pic-taking, we had breakfast at La Bodega in Pavilion. I managed to live up to my clumsy queen reputation coz the moment my coffee came, I spilled it all over the saucer and table... Sigh...
After breakfast, we bought 2 boxes of egg tarts and set off back to Chriz' place where YY and I parked our cars. We jumped into Chriz' car, whisked off to pick Alan up then our journey to the land of far far away, to the new Awana property 'Awana Mahkota Cheras' aka Matthias' house began. Seriously, the drive there did make me feel like we were going to Kijal. The highway after highway... The tolls... The sights... EY called Matthias for directions and all we could hear was "Go straight til the end of the road, turn left/right, then go straight til the end, turn left/right, go straight..." It's like never-ending 'go straight til the end of the road'... And 3 times, EY's conversation with him got cut off coz there was no reception. OMG... Wad kinda place were we in til there's no network reception??
When we finally reached 'Awana Mahkota Cheras' aka Matthias' house, it felt like we were in some town in a northern state. His area is so far that there's no broadband and no astro. Now I know why Matthias seldom comes out during weekends. The drive out alone is like a journey back to Malaysia from the north pole...
The main attraction at his house was his dog, Shandy. I've never seen such a unique dog before. Dunno how to explain, just check out Shandy's pics [I'll post up the pics taken on this day when I get it from EY, Matthias & YY. My camera's SD card got infected by a virus... Sob! Sob! Couldn't use my camera til I get the card sorted :'(].
After hanging out there for a while, we decided that our 2D/1N trip to 'Awana Mahkota Cheras' should end and hopped into Chriz' car to drive back out to civilization. Chriz' house was full of her relatives when we got there. We hung out in her room and played with her new puppy Summer Tiffany Lulu [long story about the long name]. This lil puppy is a ball of energy. She's super duper hyper and so damn cute!!! She's the main attraction in Chriz house. Oh, let's not forget Savvy. Savvy is cute too. He's a good boy. A really good dog.
We hung out at Chriz' til late. Gambled, watched TV and ate. It's always good fun to hang out at her place with my colleagues... Good food, good company, good entertainment and 2 doggies to play with really makes a party great :)
