Ushering into the new year @ Sheraton Imperial

As the pics above show, we had a blast last night at the Sheraton Imperial, KL. Lam organised a new year's eve party there. We rented a suite, brought snacks and lotsa lotsa booze. We started the night by having dinner at this stuffy northern Indian restaurant. Bad choice. Coz, after our meal of curry, lotsa naan and more curry, we felt so bloated and sleepy we could hardly move. The party was quite dead in the begining coz of the dinner. Then, as it got later, we digested the food and more people showed up and the party began to liven up. Close to midnight, the party was in full swing.

The room had a magnificent view of the city. We could see the twin towers and KL tower. Therefore, when midnight arrived, we could catch the firework displays in 3 different locations. How cool is that?

Everyone got really smashed by the time the party ended. I felt really bloated coz of the naan and curry and couldn't really drink much. Just sat in front of the TV. X-Men marathon was on [they were showing X-Men 1, 2 and 3!!]. So, I was glued to my seat, just watching the 3 movies. I know, I know... It's damn anti-social and unhappening of me to just watch TV instead of partying and joining the rest in all the fun and games, but it's X-MEN!!! I think they're really really cool. I love the movies. So, yeah, I didnt party much nor drink much but I had a great time.

I think what matters most is the company. That's what makes the party so fun. Pam just got back from HK and we spent some time talking about her trip. Jessie and I caught up a bit. All of us had fun cam-whoring the rest of the night away.

Slept at 5am, crashed on my bed dead tired... I realised throughout my entire holiday, not 1 night did I go to bed early. I was out most of the time, rushing here and there, meeting people, running errands, going to parties, etc and returned home during the wee hours of the morning. Gosh... I really wanted to relax and rest during my holiday so that I will be energised and rejuvenated when I return to work. Guess that plan didn't work :'( But, at least, during the new year's eve party, it's worth it coz I got to spend it with Yaacob and my friends, watched 3 X-Men movies back to back, watched 3 different firework displays and had fun!!

Happy New Year!!
