I sat through a 6 course dinner [which lasted 2 hours], enjoying every dish that was served with my boss, colleagues and suppliers. Chef Moine is the last of the 5 Michelin Star chefs that we brought in for The Olive for our 2007 Michelin Star Promotion. He was a tall, thin, distinguished looking man with very blue eyes. After our meal, he came out from the kitchen to ask us how our dinner went and even took a photo with us. He's a really nice and humble man given his super-star status in the culinary world.
The main course - the veal, was totally yummy. Never before have I tasted such juicy and tender meat full of flavors. The pre-dessert dessert was heaven. It's like custard with slices of strawberries in it. No wonder the entire dinner cost RM498++ per pax [with wine pairing for each course]. It's totally worth it!!
After dinner, we proceeded to the lounge for coffee and tea. I didn't stay there to enjoy my after-dinner tea. Instead, Evonne and I took the opp to cam-whore [again :P] at the magnificent Christmas Tree decorating the corridor of The Olive leading to the lounge. Kekekeke...
