Today it feels like London

On my way to work this morning, the weather was rainy and the sky was cloudy and gloomy. It reminded me of London. I don't know why, weathers like this always remind me of London. Another thing that'll trigger my memories of London is James Blunt's song 'You're Beautiful'. I think it's coz the MTV shows him in a snowy, cold place. Cold weather, snow, always makes me think of London. The reason is because whenever I was there, it was cold. Only once when I was there it was hot. The rest of the time, it was really cold. And I'd bundle myself up in layers of thick clothes, put on my gloves, scarf and beanie then walk around. I'd walk up from Kensington to Hyde Park. Then, I'd sit on a bench and people-watch. I really enjoyed that. There'd be a lot of people jogging in the cold, walking their dogs or just sitting on the benches talking or enjoying the fresh air. Aaaahhh... Thinking about all that brings a smile to my face : )

How I wish Malaysia's weather is nice and cool like that and the air here fresher. I also wish people here will be more considerate when they walk their dogs [e.g. bring along some newspaper or a plastic bag to pick up their pooch's poo then throw it in a bin instead of letting their dog poo everywhere then just walk off and let some unaware passer-by step on the dung]. I wish we are allowed to walk our dogs in the public parks instead of just along the streets of our housing area. I was once shouted at by a mean old malay man in a park near my house when I was picking up the poo my doggie just shat out. He was jogging past, he saw me and my doggie then he stopped, pointed a mean finger at me and shouted "YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BRING A DOG HERE!! THIS IS A PUBLIC AREA!! LOOK! LOOK! [pointed at the poo I was picking up with a plastic bag] THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULD NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE!!" I was thinking what did I do wrong? I WAS picking up the poo and throwing it into a nearby bin as he shouted. It's not like I was deliberately leaving the poo there to be stepped on. And my doggie was not being a nuisance. She didn't even give a single bark. She was obediently running beside me on a leash. Stupid old man!! I bit back a sarcastic retort at just how stupid he is for making a scene when I was in the act of clearing up the poo and not leaving it there. Idiot! >:(

I told my mom what happened when I got back home and she advised me not to bring my doggie out to the park again in case some other people find trouble with me :'(

Sigh... Although there are a lot of things here that I appreciate [i.e. my family, my friends, my bf, the cost of living here, etc], sometimes, I just can't help wishing that I live in London. There, I can enjoy the fresh air, the cool weather, admire the museums and the architecture of the buildings, travel to countries like France, Holland, etc at a much cheaper price, get to wear fab fashionable outfits and I can take as many walks as I like with my doggie in the park. Heck, over there, I can even let her run free and not put her on a leash like what I have to do here.

Ok, time to do a little day-dreaming about this... zzzZZZZ
