My car tire punctured again yesterday....
It was a bad one... My tire was totally flat...
I wanna sue the parking place that I park in!! It's their fault for not barricading the spikes on the ground [meant as bases for cones] on the road from the parking exit which leads to the main road.
I couldn't see the spikes and drove over it and I was like "SHIT!!". I felt there was something wrong with the tire already and pulled over at the side of the road in front of my office building. The traffic was madness, I had to climb over the passenger seat to get out of my car to inspect my tire [that's to avoid the driver's side door from being crashed into by the stampede of cars]. I was dismayed to see that my tire was flat. Like really flat!! SHIIIIIIT!!!
I got back into my car and made calls to Yaacob, my mom, Alice and my bestie, Jessie. In the end, I decided to wait for Alice and Milton to change my tire for me. In the meantime I would hang out with Jessie and her jap friend from Tokyo [who's really hot!!].
I rolled my car to the front of a taxi stand in front of Wisma Cosway, locked the steering wheel [mom's order], took a jacket and covered up my J Co doughnuts [wad? someone might break my car window and steal it... It does take forever to wait in line to buy J Co doughnuts, k!], locked my car then dashed off to Pavilion in search of Jessie.
Found her in Zara. Walked around with her for a while, then she went off to Starhill to have dinner with her jap friend [did I mention she's smoking hot??]. I didn't go with them coz I called Alice and she said she'd be done with dinner in about 15-20 minutes. Didn't want to go for dinner with Jessie, then halfway waiting for my food to receive a call from Alice telling me she and Milton was done and have them wait for me.
So I wandered around Pavilion on my own, then hopped into a cafe and ordered a salad [I was really hungry and I figured a salad wouldn't take long to prepare and devour]. I finished my salad [a really yummy one with dices of cheese and sausages] but yet no call from Alice. I sat in the cafe, not really wanting to walk anymore as my feet hurt [the cause? High heels...]. I began to regret telling Yaacob not to come rescue me. The reasons why I decided to wait for Alice and Milton to help me and not get Yaacob to rescue me are:
1) He's sick
2) I didn't have the heart to get him to drive all the way down to KL from Damansara Heights
[traffic would be crazy and he had a long day, so he'd be really tired]
3) I didn't want him to go through the jam and all to change the tire coz he'd be dead tired and
changing a tire is a messy and tiring job
Then, I began to worry that Milton might not actually know how to change a tire but wanted to pretend macho. I had a vivid image in my mind that halfway driving home, my tire would fly off coz Milton didn't know how to do it properly. Then I was worried about my car being stolen coz it was just parked at the side of the road. Sigh.... Stressed!!
Finally, about an hour later [yea, 15-20 minutes in Alice-Land is equivalent 1 hour our time], Alice finally called. I waited impatiently for them to get to the cafe and quickly paid for my food. Then, when they came, Milton announced that he wanted to buy something in Parkson and Alice wanted to go to Padini to look at some shoes. Where's the sense of urgency and priority, people??!!
I followed Alice to Padini. She couldn't find the shoe that she wanted, so we decided to call Milton and asked him to meet us at the side entrance.
"Let this be a lesson learnt for both of you on how to change tires," Milton said after getting the tools out from my booth.
A malay pakcik [a driver of some rich fella waiting for his boss beside a shiny new Mercedes] came and kepoh-ed. Telling Milton what to do, this and that.
After 20 minutes and a packet of tissues used up later [I think the amount of sweat that Milton sweated out was equivalent to a tall glass], the job was done. But.... There was no air in my spare tire... Aaarrgghhh....
I thanked Alice and Milton and drove off to the nearest petrol kiosk to put in air. A couple of indian workers were there and they kepoh-ed ~ helped me fill in air after witnessing my lousy attempt to do it and speculated whether my spare tire was also punctured. A malay pakcik who came to fill up air in his motorcycle decided to join in and all three of them were discussing among themselves whether my spare tire was ok. In the end, after numerous times of pressing the tire, they decided it was safe enough for me to go. "Ah Moi, jangan bawa laju. Perlahan-lahan, ar" they told me. I nodded, scrambled into my car and drove off.
What a long day!! I initially wanted to get home early to try on the hair treatment and serum that I bought during lunchtime [which supposedly treat colored, very damaged hair like mine], but then all these happened and in the end, I got home close to 11pm. Aaarggh.... Malang sungguh!!!!
