JP’s birthday falls on the same day as my little sister, Jebbrine. We went for his birthday bash at 789. We got there quite late and most of the people were already there. Suilin, Kenny, Foxy, Pam, Jessie, Roen, Julie, Maggie, Jennifer, Boon, JP [of coz he’d be there already. He’s the birthday boy… Hehe…], and lots of other guests. Dax came a bit later, then Lam arrived. Asked Lam why he was late:
Me: “Wei, Lam, why are you late?”
Lam: “Because I was at home.”
Me: “At home? Doing what?”
Lam: “With my girlfriend.”
Me: “Girlfriend?” [looked at him in disbelief. With Lam, I couldn’t quite tell when he’s telling the truth and when he’s pulling my leg]
Lam: “Yea, haven’t you met her? Oh yea, you haven’t." [smacked his foreheard]
Me: “Huh? But you never bring her out. Of coz I’ve not met her!”
Lam: “That’s coz she’s in HK." [grinned at me]
Me: “In HK? Hey, wait a minute… How can you spend time with her just now if she’s in HK?”
Lam: “Hahahahaa… TV la… I was at home watching TV la…" [laughed]
I hmmmph-ed at him and delivered a slap at his shoulder. Idiot!! I then went and talked to Foxy, took pics with her and little Elaine then just sat there and chilled out with them. I was really tired. It had been a long week and I haven’t gotten much rest.
So, after the cake cutting and chit chatting with Lam for a while, Yaacob and I headed home. Got to wake up early for work tomorrow. Have some training to sit in at 9am : ( They’re going to have another birthday bash for JP at Club 21 the following night. Don’t think I’ll be able to go. Gotta wake up early on Saturday morning to go to the post office near LCCT with Yaacob to pick up some stuff. Looking forward to a quiet and early Friday night. Will party on Saturday for JP’s 3rd bash [seriously, how many times do we need to celebrate? It’s like we’re just making this an excuse to party. Hahahaaha…]
